INVITATION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION FOR 2017 CAPITAL PROJECTS/EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
The Centre for Black and African Arts and Civilization in compliance with the provisions of the Public Procurement Acts 2007 intend to undertake the execution of the under listed projects on goods and services under the 2017 Capital budget of the Centre. The Centre therefore invites reputable and interested contractors /consultants for Pre-qualification/EOI for the following Projects:
CATEGORY A: GOODS
LOT A1 Procurement of Office Equipment for the Centre’s office in Lagos
LOT A2 Procurement of Library Equipment
LOT A3 Procurement of Specialized Materials for the Operation of the Centre’s Studio
LOT A4 Procurement of Material for the restoration and rehabilitation of CBAAC Museum
LOT A5 Procurement of office equipment for the Centre’s new outreach station at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State
LOT A6 Purchase of Books, Journals and Periodicals
CATEGORY B: SERVICES
LOT B1 Public lecture on Deploying Indigenous African Architecture sustainability in Africa
LOT B2 3 Day Colloquium marking FESTAC’77 at 40
LOT B3 International Conference on Global Sensitization on Africa’s Cultural tools as a means to curb corruption and publication of proceedings on Black and African Arts and Civilization.
LOT B4 Training/Workshop for some selected students on African Tradition in Oredo Local Government
LOT B5 Training/Workshop on Nigeria Culture for Primary School Students in Ajegunle, Lagos
LOT B6 Training and empowerment for Youths in Bosso Pikko Federal Constituency, Niger State
LOT B7 Training/Workshop for some Unemployed youths on African Tradition in South-South of Nigeria
LOT B8 Acquisition of Artefacts, Artworks and Archival Materials
SCOPE OF WORK
The Scope of Work is outlined in the Tender documents on which the offer is detailed in the procurement list sourced by the Centre’s Tenders Board
TENDER REQUIREMENTS
To qualify for consideration. Applicants are required to submit the documents stated hereinafter. Failure to submit any of the under listed documents may lead to the disqualification of the Applicant:
• Full details of Company’s Profile.
• Evidence of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
• Tax Clearance Certificate for the last three (3) years.
• Evidence of Value Added Tax and Withholding Tax Registration and Remittances.
• Evidence of similar projects successfully executed with their locations (Copies of letters of award to be attached).
• Evidence of financial capacity and Bank Guarantee from a reputable Bank.
• Organisational Structure, available manpower with a list of technical staff with their resumes.
• Company’s financial details and certified audited accounts for the last three (3) years (2014, 2015 and 2016)
• Interim registration report as evidence of registration with BPP National Database of contractors, consultants and service providers
• Valid certificate of compliance with Pension Act issued by the National Pension Commission (PENCOM)
• Certificate of compliance with Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Act 2005
• Certificate of compliance with National Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) Act
• Sworn Affidavit to indicate the company is not in Receivership and none of its Directors was convicted of fraudulent activities
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
(i.) Under Category B, the format for EOI must highlight the experience of the execution team for the events. That is, consultants for Conference and Training Programmes must be vast in conference co-ordination and Event Planning. Similarly, consultants for the acquisition of Artefacts, Artworks and Archival Materials under Category B must be curator. Archaeologists, Artists or any related field who must be knowledgeable in identifying and negotiating the acquisition of genuine Artefacts, Artworks or Archival materials from different part of the world that can help the Centre in fulfilling its mandate for the promotion of Black & African Arts and Civilization.
(ii.) Also note that only consultants who are shortlisted will be invited to participate in the Request for proposal (RFP) under Category B
(iii.) Interested contractors are expected to submit their Applications separately for each of the jobs independent of the other.
(iv.) Notwithstanding the submission of the Tender data, the Centre for Black and African Arts and Civilization is neither committed nor obligated to include your company or any bid list or award any form of contract to your company and or agent.
(v.) The advertisement shall not be considered as a commitment on the part of the Centre for Black and African Arts and Civilization, nor shall it entitle potential companies to make any claims whatsoever and/or seek indemnity from the Centre for Black and African Arts and Civilization by virtue of such company having responded to the advertisement.
(vi.) The Centre for Black and African Arts and Civilization reserves the right to make available the Tender documents to Pre-qualified bidders only.
All completed documents must be sealed, enveloped and clearly marked with the title of the project and the Lot Number must also be indicated on the left hand corner of the envelope and should be addressed to the Director- General, Centre for Black and African Arts and Civilization, No. 36/38 Broad Street, Lagos
CLOSING DATE FOR SUBMISSION:
The closing date for submission for Category A is Monday 30th October, 2017. That is Six Weeks from the Date of Advertisement. The Closing Date for Category B is Tuesday 2nd October, 2017. That is Two Weeks from the date of Advertisement
NOTE: Only Pre-qualified respondents will be invited for Tender
